In addition to all customer in vitro services, we offer the additional service option to breed and to treat mice for customers’ specific experiments. These services are offered for researchers who want a fully-validated in vivo experiments but don’t have resources to validate them in their own laboratories. The laboratory of Experimental Immunology has fully equipped SPF animal house where the mice are bred. We feature four mouse strains – SCID (Balb/c background), Balb/c, C57BL/6 and two models of human systemic lupus erythematosus MRL/lpr and pristine-induced lupus. The in vivo testing of mice includes:
Drug administration
- Oral
- Peritoneal
- Intravenously
- Intramuscularly
- Subcutaneously
Sample collection
- Urine and blood collection
- Measurement of proteinuria and hematuria
Histology
- Isolation of spleen, lymph nodes, spine, brain, kidneys, heart, liver, lung, pancreas – morphology
- Haematoxylin/eosin staining for local inflammation processes in kidneys and in pancreas
- Immunohistochemistry
- Immunocytochemistry
Humanized mice
by transferring human cells in SCID mice we provide to our customer the unique possibility to lead an experiment in completely “human” system. This procedure gives the opportunity to observe the effect of the tested drug, cosmetic product or cell population in a milieu closely resembling the human body but avoiding the obstructions regarding the leading of clinical trials.
Mouse tumor models
Mouse inflammatory models
- Ovalbumin inflammatory model
- CFA inflammatory pain model
