We are experienced in the developing of different mouse models (humanized, spontaneous, induced and via xenotransplantation) of human diseases. These models are used for vaccine testing and validating therapies for – systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, diabetes and cancer.
8 mouse strains, unique for Bulgaria, are housed under SPF conditions:
C57BL/6 (wild type)
C57BL/6N (wild type)
BALB/cBy (wild type)
129S1/SvIm (wild type and Zbtb20 heterozygous)
Cg-Tg(K18-ACE2)2Prlmn (used in SARS-CoV studies)
NOD/ShiLt (model for autoimmune type 1 diabetes)
MRL/MpJ-Faslpr (model for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and Sjorgren (Sicca) syndrome)
C;129S4-Rag21FlvIl2rgtm1.1Flv (T cell, B cell and NK cell immunodeficient)
