Services

Using our lab expertise we offer the following services to potential private or academic clients:

      1. Monoclonal antibody testing

We provide to our clients a customized service for antibody testing, offering the possibility of testing various monoclonal antibodies in different cell types and of different origin (mouse or human). These tests will provide all the necessary information regarding the tested antibodies. In vitro antibody testing service includes:

1.1. Antibody testing: depending on the type of analysis and on the application in which the antibodies are used:

  • Immunofluorescence
  • ELISA
  • Western blotting
  • Immunohistochemistry
  • Immunoprecipitation

1.2. Titration: assessment of the optimal concentration of antibody for every type of analysis:

  • Immunofluorescence
  • ELISA
  • Western blotting
  • Immunohistochemistry

1.3. Cell type testing: antibodies can be tested on cell lines, human PBMCs or on mouse whole blood derived cells, splenocytes and stem cells according to the needs of the

1.4. Antibody labeling:

  • Standard fluorochrome conjugation (FITC)
  • Biotin conjugation

      2. Hybridoma and cell line culturing

We offer to our customers to cultivate their cell lines and hybridomas – freezing, thawing, culturing and storage at -80C. We also offer purification of the monoclonal antibodies from cell supernatants and determination of the protein concentration.

      3. In vitro pharmaceutical drug testing

Products produced by the pharmaceutical, the cosmetic and the chemical, companies require further analysis to determine their safe application in the target tissue and species. Assays can be performed on cells from different tissues and species (human and mouse). In vitro analyses include:

  • Determination of cell viability
  • Cell surface markers characterization
  • Cell activation assay
  • Proliferation assay
  • Cell cycle
  • Cytotoxity assay
  • Apoptosis assay

      4. In vivo testing on experimental animals

In addition to all customer in vitro services, we offer the additional service option to breed and to treat mice for customers’ specific experiments. These services are offered for researchers who want a fully-validated in vivo experiments but don’t have resources to validate them in their own laboratories. The laboratory of Experimental Immunology has fully equipped SPF animal house where the mice are bred. We feature four mouse strains – SCID (Balb/c background), Balb/c, C57BL/6 and two models of human systemic lupus erythematosus MRL/lpr and pristine-induced lupus. The in vivo testing of mice includes:

4.1. Drug administration

  • Oral
  • Peritoneal
  • Intravenously
  • Intramuscularly
  • Subcutaneously

4.2. Sample collection

  • Urine and blood collection
  • Measurement of proteinuria and hematuria

4.3. Histology

  • Isolation of spleen, lymph nodes, spine, brain, kidneys, heart, liver, lung, pancreas – morphology
  • Haematoxylin/eosin staining for local inflammation processes in kidneys and in pancreas
  • Immunohistochemistry
  • Immunocytochemistry

4.4. Humanized mice – by transferring human cells in SCID mice we provide to our customer the unique possibility to lead an experiment in completely “human” system. This procedure gives the opportunity to observe the effect of the tested drug, cosmetic product or cell population in a milieu closely resembling the human body but avoiding the obstructions regarding the leading of clinical trials.

4.5. Mouse tumor models

4.6. Mouse inflammatory models:

  • Ovalbumin inflammatory model
  • CFA inflammatory pain model
